Whoo hoo. Summer is here. No more car pool lane and homework. Bu parents still have plenty of choices to fill in summer break with exciting summer camps. I’ve been looking forward to his summer because now that A.J. is older, we’ve got more fun options to choose from. Address: 5075 Abbotts Bridge Rd, Suite 500 in Johns Creek

Description: Half day Indoor Princess Charm School for ages 5-12 includes etiquette, daily dress-up, crafts and lunch daily.

Camp Dates: Weekdays from 9:30a-1:30p; July 6-10 is Frozen Camp; July 13-17 is American Girl theme; July 20th is Princess Charm School.

Fees: $175 per week + $25 activity fee; Ask about the sibling discount. Register for all three weeks of camp and Olivia’s will waive the activity fee.

Camp Divas for Overweight Girls

Address: CHOICES Downtown Center at the First Church Commons, 125 Ellis Street, Atlanta GA 30303

Description: “Camp Divas is for girls and young women between ages 10-17 who have a BMI over 80th percentile.”

Camp Dates: June 8-12 & June 22-26

Fees: $100 per week, per camper + $25 Activity Fee

Zoo Atlanta Summer Safari Day Camp

Address: 800 Cherokee Ave. SE Atlanta, GA 30315

Description:”Summer Safari Day Camp at Zoo Atlanta offers daily camps that bring out the animal in us all through hands-on learning, nature discovery and wildlife appreciation.”

Camp Dates: Weekly May 26 – August 7

Fees: Member and non-member fees varying depending on half day or full day options. Full Day Non-Member Cost is $319 per week; Full Day Member Cost is $259.

Zoo Atlanta Summer Camp

Georgia Aquarium Summer Camp H20

Address: 225 Baker Street NW Atlanta, GA 30313 in Downtown Atlanta

Description: Rising 1st grade to Rising 6th graders will visit all Aquarium galleries, see AT&T Dolphin Tales and the 4-D Deepo show. Camp themes include Scientists in Training to “Explore our innovative conservation efforts”, All the in Family “through hands-on investigations and activities” and “Basic Training” of animal survival in the wild.

New Morning Community Preschool Summer Camp

Address: 1223 Hardee Street Northeast Atlanta, GA 30307 inside Antioch East Baptist Church

Description: Ages 2 to rising 4th graders will explore Yoga, Martial Arts and Creativity Camp, Wilderness Camp along with Drumming and World Dance Camp.

Camp Dates: Monday – Thursday June 8-11, June 15-18, July 13-16.

Fees: $135 per session per child, $115 each additional sibling
