Mommy Talk Show Candid Conversation with a TV Mom
My husband got a huge surprise last month when our Smooth Fitness Elliptical Machine arrived.
You may have seen my announcement on Facebook that I was a #SmoothBlogger ambassador and how happy I was when the elliptical arrived. But I was keeping it a secret from him because he’s an elliptical “freak.” I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face.
Smooth Fitness offers a variety of delivery options for your at-home fitness equipment. We elected for the delivery and assembly service. So instead of fretting about asking my husband to ad putting together the elliptical as part of his “honey do list,” he awoke to find that the machine had been delivered to our apartment and a professional was assembling it.
About 90 minutes later, the assembly pro was done and gave me a quick tour of how to use the compact elliptical. I could adjust the length of the stride and monitor my pulse. There’s a holder for water bottles and fan to keep cool. Delivery and assembly of our Smooth Fitness Compact Elliptical Machine was a breeze.
When I told a friend about the fitness machine she checked out the warranty (lifetime for frame and braking; two years for labor; three years for parts) she was impressed with how it was longer than other fitness brands she’d found online.

That’s great you found a company to put together the elliptical! When we ordered an elliptical last year through an entirely different company we had to return the elliptical because the delivery service didn’t know how to put together the elliptical. We eventually ordered somewhere else, but if I would have known about Smooth Fitness I would have contacted them! Thanks for getting the word out about Smooth Fitness. I need to get back on my elliptical now…it’s been too long.
I never had the luxury of having my own personal fitness equipment at home, but believe me if I did I would love for someone else to assemble it, no matter how easy 🙂
Would love to have a special delivery like this. At home equipment would inspire me to work out more
Out of all the machines at the gym I always find that I get the best workout on the elliptical without the extra strain on my body that running on the treadmill does. I look forward to see how you like it!
What a great service! Nothing is more frustrating than having a fun new piece of equipment and having difficulty assembling it. Plus no having to haul it in place. Enjoy and I can’t wait to follow your progress!

Love that they deliver and assemble! I too am an eliptical freak! Unfortunately, mine has been sitting in the garage since I got it and I’m not even sure it works anymore! Might be time for a new one!
That is such a nice gift, although it wouldn’t be a good one for me. I couldn’t do 5 minutes on the elliptical at the gym. The treadmill is more my speed.

Elliptical machines scare me just a teensy bit. It’s all in my head, I’m aware, but I always imagine myself flipping off. It’s more hilarious than it sounds, I promise. Congrats on being an Ambassador and I can’t wait to read more about your successes!

Girl, I’m always scared to do this type of assembly at home especially after reading reviews on Sears or where ever else I’m buying the equipment (missing screws, heavy lifting, etc.)! So I always get the delivery and setup service for stuff like this. 🙂

I’m considering buying this machine, but I’m concerned about its stability due to its short length. I have a slight limp with one leg, so it’s very important to me that the machine doesn’t wobble. Does this machine wobble at all?

@Chris: Our elliptical is on the carpet in our living room, so it wobbles slightly.
I believe once we have room to place it on a hard floor, this will be alleviated.
