When I look back on the last six years of my life, it’s been a whirlwind. I went from a single and sassy local TV news anchor in Jackson, Mississippi to be married mom in Atlanta, Georgia. Talk about a game changer! Things didn’t go exactly as I’d planned since we got married and pregnant so quickly. So I quickly adapted my career to start blogging, while working as a freelance writer and video producer. Life is crazy that way and God clearly has a sense of humor.

But I’ve enjoyed every moment, every stretch mark and every tear.

My life is nothing like I’d ever imagined since I’m not on TV every day, but I’ve still made media appearances and I get to interview movers and shakers. Now I either do it from the comfort of my laptop, or occasionally I’ll hit the road for a media tour and video shoot.

What matters is that our son knows I’m here for him and technically – he’s my boss now.
