As much as I love summer weather, I don’t like getting sweaty or being bit by mosquitoes or “no see ums” which love to take a bite out of me anytime I’m outdoors. Since my husband is off from work this week and I wanted to do a family activity, we chose Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta inside Phipps Plaza. It’s a few miles from our home, offers indoor play (with no bugs) and air conditioning. A.J. and I visited last year, but now that he’s four years old he was able to enjoy more exhibits and create projects with his Dad. Keep reading to see the fun we had, learn about Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta events like Christmas in July that comes with a free pass offer, as well as a Lego Movie meet & greet.
Building with Legos
A.J. has a particular taste when it comes to activities. He doesn’t do tunnel slides because they’re dark inside. He doesn’t climb high jungle gyms or go on ferris wheel type because they’re too high. So our visit to the Legoland Discovery Center focused on the DUPLO village and main play area where he could assemble projects with his Dad. Miniland caught his eye with it’s Lego version of Atlanta landmarks. He shrieked with excitement during the 4D movie.
