Fitness Friday: Don’t Be Afraid of the Scale

For this week’s Fitness Friday, you get an up close look at my scale to see if I’ve lost or gained weight since the last update.

Why do you think I saw a change on the scale even though I hadn’t worked out?

Any advice on accomplishing my new fitness goal without stressing out?

I wanted to add the Eat Smart Scale measures a lot more than just your pounds. You can track muscle percentage too.
For Atlanta moms, don’t forget the one month of Zumba classes available for one low price before March 31st.

  1. I too have noticed I have lost weight even though I’m not doing much. I think most of my lost has come from walking and getting my son. I still want to do more than I have been doing because when summer comes I won’t have these walks and since both of my kids will be in middle school next year I definitely won’t have them then so I can’t get too comfortable. I want to have some routine established by summer time. I mean I have my videos and stuff I just need to force myself to get more into exercise.

  2. Yea, congrats on reaching your initial goal! I’m not surprised at all that you’ve been able to lose weight even without working out much. Working out is still super important, but just as important is eating habits! Instead of ‘eat less, move more’ it’s much more like ‘Eat differently, move more’!

My rule of thumb is that if I’d be tempted to eat it (and it’s not healthy), I just don’t keep it in the house. And yes, it’s doable with kids, since we have a 9 y/o! =)

    Keep up the good work!!

  3. Awesome ! Go Joyce! Great skin – BTW 🙂

  4. That’s wonderful, Joyce. Good luck on your new goal. You can do it!

  5. Congrats on your loss! Every pound counts. I want to check out that app as well. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Congrats on your weight loss! I wonder even though to skipped exercise this week you’re metabolism is still up as muscle burns more calories!

  7. congrats at your accomplishment thus far and good luck with your new goal!

  8. I think it has to do with water/fluid intake and also your daily activities. Did you walk more? Drink less? I notice I tend to also lose weight although it’s water weight on the days where I’m not staying hydrated.

  9. Over 10 pounds gone – GO GIRL! 🙂 I am proud of you!
