[VIDEO] Kid-Friendly Features of 2014 Kia Sorento Part I

Kia Motors appears to be listening to parents and their children when it comes to the features we want in the newest cars. Check out this video of the kid-friendly features of the 2014 Kia Sorento we just reviewed. You’ll want to use the social sharing tools below to share this review on Facebook or Twitter and add it to a board on Pinterest, especially if you are in the market for a new car.

Among the cool kid-friendly features of the 2014 Kia Sorento:

  •  Third row seats for a large group of friends and family.
  • Remote entry to  access the hatch in case your hands are full, plus a button to close the hatch.
  • I’m keeping A.J.’s favorite feature for Part II of the video later this week. But check out the 2013 Kia Rio and 2013 Kia Soul I reviewed earlier this year.

What features of the 2014 Kia Sorento would your family like the most?

By far, my favorite part of the 2014 Kia Sorento was the household-style 120-volt outlet in the rear.

Thanks to this outlet, I didn’t need batteries to keep A.J.’s DVD player powered during our six hour drive to Jackson, Mississippi. It was a God-send since I took the drive with him by myself. Then we drove back to Atlanta, picked up my husband and drove to Savannah, Georgia for our anniversary.

There are even more features your family will love to talk about in the 2014 Kia Sorento that I’ll share in Part II of my review this week. Subscribe to the Mommy Talk Show RSS feed to get e-mail alerts and make sure you’re a fan of the Mommy Talk Show Facebook page so you’ll see it.

  1. Great review! I had no idea it was so roomy!

  2. Loved you review and I really love the Kia Sorento! So roomy and fun! Thanks for the review!

  3. I’m looking for a roomier car!

    My questions:
    1. How is the seat comfort? Lumbar support?
    2. Visibility? Blind spots?
    3. How does it handle? Is it truck like and a stuff suspension or more cushy and car like?
    4. Turning radius? How easy is it to park and get in and out of tight parking spots, traffic, and u turns?
    5. Acceleration? Does it speed up fast enough to get on I-285?
    6. Road noise?
    7. Is there a sunglasses holder?

  4. My neighbors have a Kia and they love it! Very cool looking car!

  5. Great review and video–The Kia looks alot bigger than I thought it would be–I always thought they were so compact–you changed that misconception for me–thanks!

  6. Oh I love the Kia! So roomy and a beautiful car!

  7. LOVE the outlet!! That is such a timesaver. My kids always forget to charge their devices.

  8. Love this! I’ve been looking at the Kia Sorento as my next car for a while. LOVE the outlet and hope they install more so the adults can plug in their devices. too.

  9. I’m impressed that the stroller AND a suitcase fit in there. God bless your ability to introduce yourself and get to the informative point. I’ve watched so many bad videos lately! 😉

  10. I got to drive a Sorento for a week a couple years ago when my car was being repaired. Things have certainly changed since then. This looks like it would be fun to drive and I especially need the room since my kids are getting so tall. Great review!
