Wordless Wednesday: My LOL Board on #Pinterest #WW

My Favorites on Pinterest

Since I’m not a crafty mom like so many other moms on Pinterest, the boards that get the most attention from me are the humorous boards.

So I added this pin to the Mommy Talk Show “Makes me LOL” board because I grew up in the 80’s. That means I wore a lot  neon, high top sneakers and even rocked a jheri curl.

What do you think of this photo and capture featuring The Breakfast Club cast?

  1. That really is funny. I can remember dressing like the college girls impression back when I was in elementary school. Maybe everyone’s idea comes from Cindy Lauper and elementary school?

  2. Funny thing about that. I was at a blogging conference recently where they had an 80s party and plenty of the bloggers were dressed like the college girls pictures, despite actually having been teenagers in the 80s! It’s amazing how one’s perception can be skewed when we reminisce. In my defense, I was barely hitting double digits when the 8os ended so I pretty much always just go with Michael Jackson’s Beat It when I’m required to recreate that time period!

  3. I think there were some extremes in the 80’s like the college girls pictured. But for my friends, there was a lot of pre-grunge going on even as I grew up on Long Island in the 80’s.
