As if feeding, clothing and educating a child isn’t expensive enough there comes a time when your dentist will refer you to an orthodontist for braces. According to Oral-B, the average cost to install and maintain braces can range from $3,000 for metal traditional braces to $10,000 for lingual braces (the kind placed on the back side of your teeth). When I found out that the Georgia School of Orthodontics plans to provide $100,000 worth of complimentary orthodontic care to Georgia families, I wanted to share the details on how to apply. The Georgia School of Orthodontics is opening a new facility with a grand opening June 2, 2016.

Eligibility Guidelines for Children and Teenagers:
- Would benefit from orthodontic care, but are not able to afford it
- Have a compelling story
- Have good dental hygiene (as certified by the applicant’s general dentist);
- Have no unfilled cavities
- Not be wearing braces currently
- Must be a Georgia resident
- Must be under eighteen years of age
- Entering means you agree to join the Georgia School of Orthodontics’ mailing list
