The trends and traditions of Motherhood across the globe are the focus of a new website, Mom-Voyage.com. International parenting bloggers contribute stories about birth and “babyhood” based on where they live, including the Netherlands, France, Britain, Holland, Japan, China and Australia. When I looked around Mom-Voyage.com I immediately recognized one of the contributors, Lindsey Paris, a fellow Atlanta Ga. blogger.
Much of the site’s current content focuses on pregnancy and new mothers. I’d like to see how the content expands to toddlers, tweens and teens. One of the most informative posts was “Maternity Leave Around the World” featuring the disparity between the U.S. and other nations in terms of paid/unpaid leave for moms and dads. You can also learn the international differences when it comes to baby naming and baby showers.
Comment below: Do you have friends or family in other countries? Are there any differences in parenting where they live?
Sounds like a cool site! I’ll definitely check it out.
It is great to read about how parenting is in other countries. Makes you see how much we are the same, and yet, so different!
Yeah! Another parenting site!! I can’t wait to check it out and see what new things they are going to share with parents.
