I just spent a three weeks reviewing the new Lancome Dream Tone dark spot corrector through She Speaks Up. All experiences are my own and yours may differ.
Although dark spots on my face are not my primary skin care problem, I wanted to review Lancome’s new products because it’s a brand I love. When I was on the air as a news anchor, Lancome was among my go-tos for moisturizers and eye shadow.
Dream Tone is designed to, ‘visibly correct dark spots, color imperfections and uneven skin tone.”
Positives: I love that Dream Tone comes in a variety of shades. As a dark skinned Black woman I can tell you it’s not easy finding skin care products that match my skin tone. She Speaks Up sent me the number 3 for dark skin tones. It went on smoothly and matched my skin.
Negatives: I’d hope I could wear Dream Tone serum by itself as a moisturizer without makeup on top. But when I did, I found that it appeared to “peel” off. But in Dream Tone’s defense, it’s not a tinted moisturizer. Per the directions, use it under your daily moisturizer.
Neutral: I’d like to keep using it for a few more week before I make a clear conclusion on whether I saw a change it my skin tone or whether my dark spots cleared up. Considering I’m guilty of not moisturizing my face enough or drinking enough water, those are the things I need to fix regardless of the products I use.
