How to avoid awkward family photos – Morning Josephine

Thanks to the ladies at the Sears Portrait Studio at Northlake Mall in Atlanta our family has wonderful memories of our first photo session.
I’m happy we didn’t go this route:

As I discuss in this Morning Josephine video, things could have gone a lot smoother with more planning on my part.

My husband is a more artistic, relaxed person and isn’t really in to posed pictures. After this photo session, I see his point and will probably plan a more candid photo session in the future. In fact, my favorite family photo is our very first. The anesthesiologist in the operating room took it for us the day A.J. was born.

  1. Good morning girl, I love you so much and let me tell you – I pulled up your family picture on Facebook to show to my husband Russ and Josiah was in the computer room observing and said, “Mommy did they forget to comb their hair?” I laughed so hard Joyce! Your family is precious!

    • Your son is too funny!
That’s one of the benefits of being a blogger vs. a news anchor. I can wear my hair the way God and my parents made it!
