Find a Weight Loss Accountability Partner at CVS MinuteClinic #HealthYourself

Weight Loss Accountability Partner

I’m guilty of running into my local CVS to grab a few health and beauty items that are on sale, then rushing out the door.  Do you do the same thing? Well, next time you’re in CVS, swing by the MinuteClinic and notice some of the new programs there, including MinuteClinic’s Weight Loss Program. In my journey to lose weight and get healthy, every few days I’ve checked in with my weight loss accountability partner – my sister! We both announced the changes we were making to our diets and fitness. On January 5, 2015 we both made a change. Since then we’ve called and texted each other just to check in. When I don’t feel like working out, she reminds me that even 10 minutes of stretching is better than nothing. I’ve also shared my weak moments along with the high points when I mastered a delicious healthy salad. I’m delighted to parter with CVS MinuteClinic to start 2015 with a plan to #HealthYourself!

Do you need a weight loss accountability partner to keep you on track and support you? Maybe you don’t want your friends and family to know every detail of your plan or when you fall short. Thanks to CVS, a nurse practitioner can guide you through the MinuteClinic’s Weight Loss Program. It’s in partnership with the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet which is ranked #1 overall by U.S. News & World Report 4 years in a row!

Meet with the nurse practitioner for an initial health assessment, then decided if you’d like ongoing customized coaching to help reach your wellness goals. Besides in-person meetings, MinuteClinic’s Weight Loss Progam allows you to have exclusive online membership to DASH for Health portal. The online access alone is with $69! If any health issues arise, CVS MinuteClinic can perform tests at its location as well as communicate with your physician.

Remember when announced CVS announced it would no longer sell cigarettes? The public and moms everywhere were overjoyed. But the fight to stop smoking doesn’t end at the sale counter. Many people (including my husband and my later Father) struggle to stop smoking. The MinuteClinic Smoking Cessation Program is designed help smokers step-by-step by creating a plan to quit and giving them support. Have you noticed some of the messages on the CVS Facebook page to support them?

Looking to put your best face forward in 2015? There’s a saying “the eyes are the window to the soul.” To me, your eyelashes are the welcome mat. I’ve been a mascara and fake eyelash gal since my days as a local TV news anchor.  Did you know there are MinuteClinic Eyelash Lengthening Consultations available? CVS has partnered with Latisse, the only FDA approved prescription treatment for short eyelashes. Get an assessment and decide if you’d like to see the typical lengthening results after 16 weeks. However, this service is not available to pregnant and nursing women.
