Here’s how Erin describes the painting and her inspiration:
“Jumping Grasshopper is a small but active little guy. He is a jumping rope champion and I have caught him here in the middle of his training for the National Jump Roping Competition. You would believe it, but he was listening to “Eye of the Tiger”.

I decided to paint children’s paintings a few years ago, after being a nanny for 5 years. My work has always been playful and imaginative, so it made sense to go in that direction, plus, the kids inspire me with their creative little minds! I make custom oil paintings, customized nursery rhymes (in water color), clay gnomes, collaborative family portraits (check out “Birds of a Feather” on my website) and more!”
