As much as I love shopping for clothes, it’s so hard to do it with my hectic schedule. I have to find time to do it by myself or cope with my 3 year old’s short attention span when he realizes I’m shopping for myself and not him. I just found about a online shopping site that can help me shop without leaving the house and sell a lot of the clothes in my closet I haven’t worn in years. I’ll show you what I did step-by-step to shop for free on Tracy’s Closet.

I logged on to Tracy’s Closet and immediately earned points for setting up my profile. You’ll get 500 points too.

Hang it: Use your smartphone to upload front, back and side/label photos of clothes you’re not wearing anymore, describe them (size, color, etc.) and say how much you paid for them. You’ll earn points to shop.  I posted a 100% silk peach floral blouse that I paid about $40 for a few years ago.

Shop: I’ve got more than 1,000 points handy thanks to uploads and sharing Tracy’s Closet with my friends. Need more points? Just buy them. Plus, there’s free shipping.

What would you “sell” on Tracy’s Closet? A dress you wore once for a wedding? Sell kids clothes too!

  1. This sounds really interesting. Did you sell you shirt? Do other memebers buy directly from you like ebay? Do you have to pay to ship the items you sell?

  2. I had seen a quick ad for this and wondered how it worked–I have to tell my clothes horse of a sister about this–it’s right up her alley–thanks for sharing

  3. Such a great concept. I look forward to trying it out.

  7. I’ll have to look into this. I used to sell on EBay, but the fees just got so darn high so I finally stopped. This might be a nice solution and way to start selling again!
