For high school students with big dreams, Disney’s Dreamers Academy with help from TV Host Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine, presents a three day intensive workshop every year. One hundred students are chosen and they’re allowed to bring a parent or guardian for the all-expenses paid trip. During the event, they’re inspired by one-on-on conversations with some leaders in music, entertainment, medicine, business and education. Yolanda Adams, Steve Harvey, Stephen A. Smith and among those who give their time to the event. I just interviewed Tracey D. Comment below: Can you think of a student who would get to make their dreams come true by attending the Dreamers Academy? What did you take away from my interview with Tracey D. Powell?
that’s pretty cool, i had never heard of that before. neat!
I had no idea this academy existed. This is very cool and I am going to look into it a bit more in depth when I have time later.
I live in Orlando and am a Disney junkie and somehow never knew about this. I would’ve loved to do this in high school. I hope something like this is around when my son is old enough for it 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
What an amazing chance at having your dreams come true! Such a wonderful program.
Hi, I love this inspiring idea. I have to wait two years til my baby is in high school. I will put it on my calendar for March 2016.
