Drew Ann Long just became someone I really admire. Not only is she a mom of a special needs child, but she invented something that breaks down barriers for her daughter, the elderly and disabled.

Did you know there’s a special needs shopping cart?

One of my nieces is deaf and another has Down Syndrome, so this CNN story about Mrs. Long’s invention, Caroline’s Cart, has a special place in my heart. Please share it with a parent of a special needs child.

  1. That’s awesome! When I was in NC last month, I went to a park that had swings for special needs kids. I thought that was pretty great. Don’t know if they have them in GA but I’ve never seen them.
