Here's a reminder that you can't always trust the "age suggestion" about which toys are appropriate because they can still pose a choking hazard. In this CNN video, a mom describes how she helped her son when she realized he was choking on a toy she thought was safe. Her description is an alarming reminder that sometimes you won't hear your child choking. So it's important to keep an eye on them at all times. If I could change one thing about my pregnancy experience, I would have tried to meet more moms while I was pregnant and get a support group in place. When I moved to Atlanta in May 2009, I was a newlywed in a new city. By July, we found out we were pregnant. I slept most of my first trimester and really didn't get out and socialize. Since I wasn't working, I also didn't get the chance to meet many new people. As a breastfeeding mom, I can understand why a mom who can't produce breast milk would still want it for their child. However, I couldn't imagine selling my breast milk to anyone or buying theirs.
