I’m delighted to share that I accomplished everything on my “bucket list” for #FiguringOut40LA, my husband and child-free vacation to Los Angeles, California to celebrate my 40th birthday. My first must-do was to watch a live taping of Chelsea Lately’s show at Universal Studio. The next day I visited The Grove in Los Angeles, a well-known outdoor shopping mall that’s known for celebrity sightings.
Check out my video of The Grove and a major attraction I “missed” there.
I’ve still got a hilarious video to post about my experience taking the TMZ Tour. Van Lathan is one of the TMZ staffers you’ll see on the Fox show. He was our tour guide and agreed to a one-on-one interview about the “Best Celebrity Moms.”
You’ll want to hear his list and tell me what you think. See more of the photos from my #FiguringOut40LA trip when you follow Mommy Talk Show on Instagram.
Use the sharing tools below to share, like, tweet this story to a friend or pin this post to a vacation board on Pinterest. I’ve been dreaming of this trip for more than a year and created a Mom Escape to LA Pinterest board for Mommy Talk Show.
In case you’re wondering, I paid most of my expenses for this trip. I reviewed an off-on bus tour with Starline tours that I’ll share shortly.
Comment below: Have you ever visited Los Angeles, California? Why/why not? What was it like?
What an awesome video! I am so happy you got you bucket list completed, and happy 40th!! It looks and sounds like you had a wonderful day! I have visiting LA on my list as well, and hopefully will get to one day!
I envy you so much girl! You are really inspiring!
So fun! I love Chelsea Handler, she is hilarious. I’ve been to LA once, about 15 years ago, and wasn’t as into it as I thought I would be. I was really bummed at how small the Hollywood sign is.
Fun! I’ve never been farther west than Missouri.
Can’t wait to see the follow-up video! What a cool experience.
LA and San Diego are our two favorite vacation spots, so yes, many times!! My mom actually grew up outside of LA so we went there quite a bit growing up.
Looks like a fun trip — love the photo!
I was not able to see the video but from the pictures, it looked like you had a great time.
