Our Wedding Kiss: Wordless Wednesday #WW

When I Google my name, Joyce Brewer, my wedding pictures are near the top of the page in the search. Sound weird? Well back in 2009, I had just left my job in TV news at 16 WAPT-TV in Mississippi and one of our co-workers agreed to be the videographer for my wedding. The station used his video to get still images of the ceremony and created a slideshow on the website.

It’s actually one of the best displays of our wedding because I still haven’t put our photos in an album (almost three years later) so that’ one of my goals for 2012. One of our wedding photos is in our bedroom just where A.J. can reach it. He loves to grab it and point “Mommy! Daddy!”

I love looking at this picture because it reminds me of our brief time as newlyweds before we became parents 9 1/2 months later!

Our wedding was very non-traditional since we eloped to Savannah, Georgia. I didn’t send any invitations,  but our close friends, my Mom, sister and brother-in-law attended. I found the minister online, payed him through Paypal and he found a still photographer who would just give us all of our images.

It took three weeks of planning, done mostly online. Saved us a lot of money (check out my $99 wedding dress from White House Black Market) and frustration.

If you’ve got 16 minutes and some tissues you’re welcome to watch our wedding video here:

  1. I love the photo and love that you kept it simple. That was my intention but things sort of steamrolled…should have been a prediction of life to come, huh?

  2. LOL, I guess it is a prediction.
We both mentioned our future children in our wedding vows and POP here came A.J. 9 1/2 months later!

  3. Good luck getting that album together. I honestly have to admit I have not dug mine out in 7 years. I think it is on a shelf somewhere. I need to bring it out!
