Free and low-cost ways to take care of yourself over the holidays

Avoid holiday stress There’s no need to get overwhelmed during the holidays. Here are three free and low-cost suggestions on how to take care of yourself so you can be an amazing and stress-free mom.

1. Take care of your skin. Use the cosmetics you already have in your bathroom to give your self a facial or moisturizing treatment.

2. Take a break. Hire a babysitter through a service like Sittercity where the candidates have had background checks and you can interview them before you hire them. Save 20% off memberships this holiday season at Sittercity.com w/code SNOW20 expires 12/31 Also swap child care with a mom in your neighborhood or a close friend. You watch the kids for a few hours one day and then you swap so you can both run errands or get your holiday shopping done.

3. Learn how to say the word No! Don’t feel pressured to make cookies, host parties and buy tons of gifts. If you don’t have the time or money to do something, just say No! The freedom it provides is amazing.

Finally, I’m looking for an Atlanta coffee shop or company to sponsor this segment “Morning Josephine.” In return I’d promote them on social media and in these videos. You’re welcome to post a suggestion on the Mommy Talk Show Facebook Wall.
