[VIDEO] Teal Pumpkin Project Halloween Ideas

As a Food Allergy Mom, I want to share the Teal Pumpkin Project with as many families as possible. So I asked “Atlanta Plugged In” on Peachtree TV & CBS 46 if I could share the food-free and safe way to celebrate Halloween. In case you missed it, here’s the video – then keep reading for more Teal Pumpkin Project Halloween ideas. It explains how you can celebrate Halloween without concern that children will get sick or feel left out.

Here’s another look at the teal pumpkins I decorated for the TV segment.

Teal Pumpkin Project Ideas

Earlier this week, I share how the Teal Pumpkin Project keeps kids safe for Halloween safe for children with food allergies and interviewed the Food Allergy Research and Education organization.

  • Send an email to your Halloween Party or Halloween Guests.
  • Post a flyer on your street.
  • Add your home or event to the interactive map.

Here’s what I took to CBS 46 for the interview and even more ideas on non-food treats to give children.

  • Coloring Books
  • Masks (make sure they can see out of them)
  • Bubbles
  • Cups
  • Glow Sticks
  • Flashlights
  • Crossword Puzzles
  • Board games
  • Books and bookmarks
  • Pens, pencils, markers, crayons

Since I’m admittedly non-crafty, I took the easy route and decorated pumpkins with teal tape. Have fun. Be flexible and get ready for all the little trick or treaters who are coming your way for Halloween.
