What’s on Your End of the Year To-Do List?

There’s nothing like looking at the calendar and realizing there’s less than 60 days left in the year. Whew! I just don’t feel productive. But I’ve got to get in gear and so do you! Ending strong can help us establish better practices for the beginning of the school year. So let’s jump into my end of the year to-do list and how I plan to get it done, then share what’s worked for you.

end of the year to do list

Sell A.J.’s Junk

I fear that my hoarding tendencies have passed on to our son. He’s got more trucks and cars and crap than he can play with in this lifetime.

Task: List it on local Facebook groups to sell and donate the rest.

Count All My Debt & Finish a Dave Ramsey Book

These student loans aren’t going anywhere soon at this rate.

Task: Narrow down my favorite debt repayment app. I’ve already got a Dave Ramsey book from the library.

Finish the 2016 Holiday Gift Guide

Can you believe I started getting press releases and pitches from brands in the summer looking for holiday gift guide features? I’m on it!

Task: Reply to emails. Start creating some fun videos for the Mommy Talk Show YouTube channel.

New Years Card

Send New Years Cards

I realized I’m not going to get Holiday Cards done. It’s just NOT going to happen. In the beginning of 2016, I sent out New Year’s holiday cards with photos from our 2016 Carnival Cruise experience.

Braver Journal

Write in my journal

Last November I vowed to journal daily. That didn’t happen. But I’d at least like to take some time on Sunday and reflect on the past week.

Celebrate my BookAVersary

Back in 2012, I wrote an e-book, Use What You Know: A Business Idea Guide for Moms. I can’t believe how fast those four years flew by.

Task: Follow-up with the mompreneurs featured in the guide for moms and tell you what’s happened to them since the book was published. For example, Emma Sudduth created a staffing agency with her business partner.

Hang Family Photos

I’ve been terrible about this because we rent our home. I haven’t hung any family photos or our degrees on the walls.

Task: Buy command hooks and hanging items that are less likely to create wholes in the walls.

How will you get your

end-of-the-year to-do list done?

I find that most moms are reluctant to ask for help when hiring a holiday helper – is really money well spent. It’s also an ideal time to book a home cleaning.
