2017 Atlanta Fair: What To Know Before You Go

Just in time for Spring’s warm weather, the annual Atlanta Fair just returned to the Turner Field Gray lot. For 2017, you can enjoy the fair through April 2nd. Our family received complimentary admission to enjoy the fair and share our experience with you. Here’s what you need to know before you go to the 2017 Atlanta Fair.

2017 Atlanta Fair

Buy  Tickets Online

If you’d like to save time waiting in line, purchase you admission tickets and unlimited ride armbands on the AltantaFair.com pricing page.

Consider purchasing an unlimited arm band so your family can ride without worrying about buying enough ride tickets. But keep in mind there are hourly restrictions on using them. Ex. Use the armbands Monday – Friday  5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Not sold after 9 pm);  Saturday & Sunday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.  (Not sold after 5 pm).

Bring Cash

Parking around the Atlanta Fair (Turner Field and Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW) must be paid in cash. Another alternative is to take a ride share like Uber or MARTA to the fairgrounds.

Would you like to eat fair food while you’re there? Your visit to the concession stand will go a lot smoother if you have cash on hand.

There are ATM’s at the fairgrounds entrance, but remember anytime you use a machine that’s not from your bank there are additional fees.

Dress Warmly

It was an overcast, borderline drizzling Saturday when my family visited that Atlanta Fair.

I made sure A.J. wore his jacket with a hood and I did too. I felt like it was going to downpour at any moment, but it didn’t.

I was recovering from bronchitis when we visited so I stayed bundled up and away from the camera with my runny nose. A.J. was just as camera-ready as usual.

We took a chilly ride on the Fun Slide and I captured a short video of our experience.
